From bottle to chair

 
In our design and production processes, we are always looking at where environmental thinking and economic improvement intersect - resulting in minimal waste in every aspect. The way we utilise PET Technology, emphasizes this vision.

Simple solutions, smart production innovations and unconventional material choices that may seem simple at first sight, can drastically improve the effect on the further lifecycle of the product and its environment. This asks for an approach that goes beyond the paths we already know.

Raw fibres

Raw PET fibres are directed in the same direction when a large felt machine extracts the raw fibres and begins felting thin layers of felt.

Soft fibres

The plastic flakes are made in to soft fibres. By blending different colours, you can in- or decrease the colour intensity of the material.

Multiple layers

Very thin multiple layers are pressed on top of eachother to create  a steady and sturdy sheet of PET felt.

We believe PET Technology is one of the answers to ecological sustainability and environmental quality requirements in contemporary interior design.
 

1.

PET is a solution to a safe working environment. PET does not emit dangerous off gasses such as formaldehyde.

2.

It is a face finished product, pinable, slim and it can be used as a double sided or a single sided panel, giving it the desirable benefit of fitting into slim-line framing systems.  

3.

Many workstations and wall panel solutions are using a substrate such as MDF, which is in turn wrapped in a foam backed fabric or complicated again to include pinable materials. This results in a time consuming, costly construction with multiple raw materials and a workstation size that is unnecessarily thick or heavy. PET offers a sustainable, environmental friendly and economically attractive solution.
