KáVéZuG has opened its doors in the heart of Budapest. The name speaks for itself - it is a cosy "coffee nook", where people can shield from the city hassle, at least, for a little while.

Conscious in every aspect

A cosy nook in the middle of the city. That's how the owner imagined this tiny coffee shop. A place where people can escape from their busy lives to enjoy tasty food and specialty coffee.

To create a place like that, many conscious choices were made. The café uses healthy and natural ingredients of exceptional quality. Just like food, the interior also meets the highest standards.

"We can happily declare that we took a big step forward in sustainable design, with this tiny little café."

Sustainable interior

Mashroom Design was challenged to transform the outlined concept into the interior. To make that happen, the designers aimed for the most natural and sustainable materials.

As a result, they chose solid-wooden flooring, high-quality Kvadrat upholstery and stone-based decorative paintings. The chairs from recycled PET bottles also made a perfect match with the overall look and feel. Within this tiny space, the designers managed to take a big step forward in their sustainable choices.

"What also fits our concept perfectly is the recycled PET Felt chairs and bar stools by De Vorm."
