Introduction

Fost Large Bulb delivers acoustic performance at scale. The 118cm dome addresses noise in open-plan offices, large meeting rooms, and dining areas where standard lighting falls short. Use a single lamp above a conference table or cluster several across an open space. Fits any standard bulb, giving you flexibility in light selection. Available in 11 colours.

Size matters for acoustic control. The 118cm diameter creates enough volume to absorb meaningful sound levels in spaces where multiple conversations happen simultaneously. Position above large tables where noise concentrates, or distribute across ceiling areas that need broader acoustic treatment.

Eleven unique PET felt blends, each with its own texture and depth. Minor colour variations between batches are a natural result of the recycled content in the material.

Material

Made from recycled PET felt

The lampshade is made from PET felt, produced from recycled plastic bottles. De Vorm's single-mould pressing technique shapes a flat felt sheet into the 118cm ribbed dome in one production step. The result is a durable, sound-absorbing shell with distinctive texture. PET felt is both recycled and recyclable.
