PET Felt Technology: From Bottle to Chair

The seat and backrest of Hale Lounge Chair are made from PET Felt - a sustainable and durable material manufactured from recycled plastic bottles.

PET Felt is a soft, though strong material with a great acoustic performance. It is both recycled and recyclable. With Hale, De Vorm took another step forward in this technology, turning the previous three-stage process into a single moulding action. The new approach allows pressing PET Felt into any imaginable ready-to-assemble form with distinction in thickness. Granting Hale chair its elegant curves, ergonomic shape and soft texture.
