This office in northeastern Switzerland brings research, workshops and day-to-day collaboration together in one cohesive environment. Designed to support both focus and interaction, the space includes flexible work zones and social areas featuring Nook PET Felt Lounge Chairs, LJ 2 PET Felt Stack Chairs and LJ 3 PET Felt Bar Stools – creating a comfortable setting for working, meeting and exchanging ideas throughout the day.

Space for focus and teamwork

Studio Nicotra developed a holistic office concept based on clear spatial zoning and active employee involvement through design-thinking workshops. The layout supports a seamless transition between concentrated work and collaborative moments. Informal meeting points and creative corners offer room for quick exchanges, while flexible work areas encourage teams to adapt the environment to their needs. The choice of seating, ranging from the soft and inviting Nook PET Felt Lounge Chairs to the stackable LJ 2 PET Felt Stack Chairs, improves comfort and usability throughout the space.

Open, playful and research-driven

Openness is a recurring theme throughout the interior. A test operating room with a window into the nearby meeting space highlights the project’s research-focused approach, allowing transparency without disrupting workflow. Adding a playful twist, a real garage door references the idea that innovation often starts in unexpected places. Together with the LJ 3 PET Felt Bar Stools that activate the social areas, the environment becomes a dynamic and welcoming workplace – functional, flexible and designed to encourage collaboration.
