LJ 3's seat is made from PET felt, a durable material produced from recycled plastic bottles. Soft yet strong, with natural sound-dampening properties. De Vorm's single-mould pressing technique shapes the PET felt into a ready-to-assemble form, replacing multiple traditional production steps with one. The result is an ergonomically curved shell with varying thickness and a distinctive felt texture.

LJ 3 is the result of De Vorm's long-standing collaboration with Laurens van Wieringen. Laurens is an Amsterdam-based designer who has run his own studio since 2013. His work spans product and interior design, applying smart solutions and production techniques from different fields to achieve clarity and quality.
